This policy explains what information GardenTooly.com (“GardenTooly”) collects when you read the site, why, and what you can do about it. The short version: there are no accounts, no orders and no newsletter here, so the site itself knows very little about you. Most of what is collected comes from the advertising that pays for the site, and those partners are named below.

What is collected

Server and security logs. Like every website, the server records technical details of each request: IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time. The site is delivered through Cloudflare, which processes the same details to serve pages quickly and block abuse, and a security plugin (Wordfence) uses them to block attacks. Logs are kept for a limited period for security and troubleshooting.
First-party reading statistics. A small script on each page records anonymous statistics about the visit: the page viewed, time on the page, how far it was scrolled, the type of device, and the approximate country. It stores a random identifier in your browser’s local storage and session storage so a returning visit can be told apart from a new one. It does not collect your name or email address, and it is not used for advertising.
Emails you send. If you email GardenTooly, the message and your email address are used to read and reply to it, and for nothing else.

Cookies

GardenTooly itself does not need cookies to work. The advertising partners listed below may set cookies and use similar technologies. You can block or delete cookies, local storage and session storage in your browser settings at any time.

GardenTooly is written for adults and is not directed at children under 13. The site does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
